UAE – Mubasher: DP World and Turkey’s Evyap Group have completed a strategic merger to create an international logistics hub, combining their Marmara Seaport assets.

The completion comes after receiving regulatory approval from the Turkish Competition Authority, according to a press release.

The newly established entity, DP World Evyap, involves DP World acquiring a 58% stake in Evyapport, while Evyap Group holds a 42% share in DP World Yarımca.

The rebranding will introduce DP World Evyap Yarımca and DP World Evyap Körfez as the new names for these major maritime hubs.

By linking 2,088 meters of berth space and over 900 logistics experts, total annual container handling exceeds two million twenty-foot equivalent unit (TEUs).

The synergies of DP World’s customs expertise and Evyapport’s cargo operations is set to boost services for Turkey’s export-import trade.

Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, Group Chairman and CEO of DP World, said: "DP World’s vision is to lead global trade to a stronger, more efficient and sustainable future. Our strategic partnership with Evyapport advances this strategy in Türkiye; one of our most important markets.”

Kris Adams, CEO of DP World Türkiye, stated: "DP World Evyap’s combination of the respective strengths of our existing infrastructures will provide our customers with a powerful new service offering at the heart of this increasingly important region for global trade.”

Mehmed Evyap, Founder and CEO of Evyap Holding, commented: "The new company [DP World Evyap] will shorten operation times, increase service diversity and add value to our customers and Türkiye's trade with efficiencies achieved across the two partnership terminals."

Earlier in July, DP World signed a strategic agreement with Aldar Properties to fund and develop a 1.55 million square feet (144,000 square meters) Grade A logistics park at National Industries Park (NIP) in Dubai’s Jebel Ali.
